The Fouga Magister-Project
On April 30th. 2005 a private owned, former military jet-trainer, Fouga Magister, reg. OY-FGA, had an inflight fire, resulting in a dramatic, but successful emergency landing at Roskilde Airport, Denmark.
The fire and subsequent explosion caused extensive damage to the rear part of the airplane. The Danish CAA would not allow the private registration of another jet-trainer, so the only solution was to repair the OY-FGA from A to Z.
At Air Service Vamdrup we were approved by the Danish CAA to carry out this difficult task, designing the repair in cooperation with Gomolzig, acting as Design Organisation.
